Better. Simply Better. What does it mean?You simply deserve better and we are committed to ensure you receive Better. We go to great lengths to bring to you the finest ingredients available. We are not fast food, our sandwiches and salads are not made in advance. If you order a half sandwich we build a whole fresh sandwich for your half. We hand build and mix our salads right in front of you. Our Pressata sandwiches are stuffed with ingredients held between rustic bread and pressed on a hot grill. If you want your sandwich or salad customized we’ll do just that….it’s Simply Better. Our soups, sauces and salad dressings are proprietary and made with our custom gourmet recipes. Our coffee and espresso beans are roasted especially for us and our handcrafted breads, pastries and other baked specialties are made with our French artisan recipes.
At Calistoga Bakery Cafe we are committed to ensuring that your coffee experience is simply better. This begins with selecting those coffees that most dramatically represent the unique qualities of each coffee growing region. Each variety is artisanly roasted in a small batch roasting process, bringing every coffee to its particular peak and rendering a taste that is true to the regional qualities of each bean. Our coffees are air-cooled quickly and packaged within minutes to allow for in-bag degassing which seals in freshness by retaining the atmosphere produced from the bean itself in the few hours immediately following the roasting process. Our coffees arrive in your hands only after we have attended to every detail along the way yielding a simply better experience in each and every cup.

You'll never see a fryer, and our menu includes lots of fresh vegetables, nuts and grains as well as poultry, seafood and lean meats. Besides our signature made-to-order salads, we feature delicious gourmet sandwiches made with our fresh baked breads, and hearty soups made the way they should be: with real stocks, fresh vegetables, and traditional herbs and spices.
